Denny has experience in intellectual property management and transaction. Specifically, he is experienced in patent licensing, patent prosecution, selection of patent counsel, patent prosecution strategy, and contract negotiation related to patent rights.
I am also experienced in angel investment, venture capital investment, equity financing, business model canvas, business exit strategy, investor pitch for equity financing, and venture startup strategy.
In terms of domain expertise, I have a Ph.D. in molecular genetics, and I can understand technical subject matters of most life science and some chemistry businesses.

- Denichiro “Denny” Otsuga co-founded a boutique intellectual property management consulting business, which was acquired after rapid growth.
- Denny earned his Ph.D. in molecular genetics and worked in a biotechnology startup company, negotiating and licensing patents and other legal agreements. He also has experience working in venture capital firms, and a boutique management consulting firm focused on innovation and innovation ecosystem development. Denny also worked in several universities in senior management positions in charge of intellectual property management and technology-based venture startups.
- Denny enjoys mentoring entrepreneurs through a non-profit angel investor network organization, Rockies Venture Club, where he currently holds the Director of Venture Community Development position. Denny has supported several venture startup companies from Fort Collins that Rockies Venture Club funded via equity financing.
